View the story of Banaz Mahmod, a girl living in England who divorced her abusive husband from an arranged marriage and found a new boyfriend, which prompted her Iraqi family to end her life in an Islamic honor killing.

Despite Banaz continually going to the police for help on five separate occasions fearing for her life, the police neglected to take the threat seriously even after she narrowly escaped being killed.  It was not until she was brutally murdered that the police took notice and investigated based on the information that she supplied while she was alive.
